HomeAbout UsAF Technical Program

Welcome to the site for the annual Air Force Technical Program, Dixie Crow Symposium, co-sponsored by the Electronic Warfare and Avionics System Program Office (AFLCMC/WNY) and the Dixie Crow Chapter of the Association of Old Crows (AOC). The Dixie Crow Symposium is an annual event held each year at the Museum of Aviation, Robins AFB, GA, in the month of March and provides a host of professional, STEM, and social activities for attendees.  This year’s AF Technical Program and technical short courses will be held 20-22 March 2018 at the Scott Theater, Museum of Aviation, Robins AFB, GA.  The AF Technical Program is the only part of the Dixie Crow Symposium that is co-sponsored by the Air Force and provides a venue for Air Force, DoD industry professionals and academia to share information and engage in dialog on the latest technology and policy issues in the areas of electronic warfare (EW), avionics, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).  Free technical short courses will be offered during the third day of the AF Technical Program and will provide an opportunity for continuing education credits.  Refer back to this site for additional updates related to the AF Technical Program, instructions for participating, and training information.

THEME: “Maximizing MOSA for Long Term Adaptability"

The 2018 theme focuses on topics related to using a modular open systems approach during development of new systems and/or modernization of legacy systems. Topics during the AF Technical Program will relate to Electronic Warfare (EW), Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), and Avionics.   For more information, refer to the Call for Papers included on this page.

Attendance at any classified or ITAR restricted session has specific security requirements and associated deadlines separate from the AF Technical Program or Symposium registration requirements.  Please refer to the Security Instructions for more information.  You may only enter the Secret or ITAR sessions on Wednesday, 21 March 2018, either before 0800, between 1200 and 1230, or during an authorized scheduled break so please time your arrival accordingly. You should arrive early because you must collect your badge if you have not already done so during a previous registration opportunity in the week. There will be a line due to the fact that entry is being controlled. You may leave during the Secret or ITAR sessions but cannot reenter until another authorized break.

The Electronic Warfare and Avionics System Program Office (AFLCMC/WNY) co-sponsorship with the Dixie Crow Chapter of the AOC for this particular event does not indicate any DoD, USAF, AFLCMC or component unit of DoD, USAF or AFLCMC endorsement of the Dixie Crow Chapter of the AOC or any other event sponsored by the Dixie Crow Chapter of the AOC.
