The Relocation Assistance Program team welcomes you to Robins AFB, Georgia. Our RAP is designed to assist you, the military member, and your family, as well as DoD Civilians, during your Permanent Change of Station.
RAP aims to minimize the adverse effects of relocation by providing counseling, sponsorship training, and general education throughout all phases of the relocation process. The Military and Family Readiness Center, located in Bldg. 794, is the primary center for accessing these services.
The Relocation Assistance Program is comprised of four essential components: Newcomer Orientation, Key Leaders Orientation , Sponsorship training, and Defense Installation Messaging System.
-
Newcomer Orientation is a mandatory attendance program that involves various base agencies who make your welcome and initial contact with on/off base resources, activities, and local laws easy to navigate whilst in the Warner Robins and surrounding municipalities. NCO includes an Info Fair and Base Tour to provide a full day of learning. Family members are welcome to attend.
-
Key Leaders Orientation is designed for Commanders, Chiefs, First Sergeants, and civilian equivalents newly assigned to Robins AFB or recently promoted to a leadership position.
-
Sponsorship is a commander’s program and a critical component of relocation. The program provides supplemental sponsorship training that covers how to provide initial support and positive connections to the new unit as well as how to provide the incoming members and families with their first link to their new community and support services.
The M&FRC Sponsorship training supplements the required Electronic Sponsorship Application and Training. Sponsors and inbounds can access base information through MilitaryINSTALLATIONS located on Military OneSource. Also located on MOS, you can find Defense Installation Messaging System with updates on installations from the field. Articles are updated quarterly to ensure that the military community has access to the latest base information.
Should any information, referral, or assistance regarding relocation be required, we welcome you to visit or call the Military and Family Readiness Center at Robins AFB. The M&FRC has a Discovery Center equipped with a plethora of relocation resources. The Relocation Assistance Program is committed to making the relocation process as smooth as possible.
