Robins to host base-wide Sports Day Oct. 7 Published Sept. 30, 2011 By 78th Air Base Wing Public Affairs ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- In an effort to promote health and fitness and build unit camraderie, there will be a Team Robins Sports Day Oct. 7. The unit with the greatest overall point total will be awarded the Sports Day Travelling Trophy. This event is open to all active duty, Reserve, Air National Guard, civilian employees and adult family members assigned to Robins. Participants must compete with their units to be eligible to earn points for team awards. Retired military members and base-eligible youth competitors can also participate. Participants must register through their unit sports representative by Wednesday. Civilian employees wishing to participate during duty hours must obtain supervisory approval in advance and use annual leave, compensatory time or any other appropriate leave available.
