PERSONAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT


The Personal Financial Management Program (PFMP) provides education, information, and individual counseling on a wide variety of financial matters. We provide one-on-one spending plan analysis and financial management counseling to identify financial concerns and assist in developing immediate and long range financial plans. Many workshops are presented on financial topics of interest to the Robins' community.

CREDIT REPORTS
Under the FACT Act amendments to the Fair Credit Reporting Act you are entitled to one free credit report disclosure in a 12 month period. To request this free annual disclosure you must contact the Central Source. To contact the Central Source on-line, please click https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp You can also contact the Central Source to request this free annual disclosure by calling toll free (877) FACTACT or by using the mail request form available at the central source website by clicking the following link www.annualcreditreport.com

By law, in Georgia, you are entitled to two free credit reports per year from each of the three agencies listed below.

If you have been denied credit you are authorized a free credit report from the company that denied the credit. In most states a credit report costs approximately $8 + tax per person (a husband and wife have separate reports). The process of getting your credit report averages six weeks. It is a good idea to get a credit report every year to assure their accuracy. If something is wrong it is YOUR responsibility, not the credit agency, to correct the records.

The Federal Reserve System is the central bank of the United States. Established by Congress in 1913, the Federal Reserve System consists of the Board of Governors--a central governing body in Washington, D.C.--and 12 regional Reserve Banks (click here for U.S. map divided according to Federal Reserve District).

Thrift Savings Plan - The TSP is a retirement savings plan for Federal employees.
