Robins 78th Air Base Wing Museum maintainers preserve ‘the Spirit of Flight’ through restoration

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. - Cameron Smith, 78th Air Base Wing Museum of Aviation restoration specialist, attaches modified leading edges to a Lockheed F-117 Blackhawk stealth attack aircraft at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, August 25, 2025. Due to classification of certain aircraft component systems, modifications, along with a close eye for detail, kept the aircraft as close to historically accurate for future museum display and patron viewing while maintaining operational security.
