559th AMXS sets C-5M record-breaking year
Robins Air Force Base, Ga. – Cole Smith, 559th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aircraft electrical technician, repairs the wing of a C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft undergoing Planned/Scheduled Depot Level Maintenance at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, Aug. 17, 2023. Each aircraft underwent modernization programs to include upgraded avionics, navigation, surveillance and traffic management systems, new safety equipment and an improved autopilot system, to sustain the aircraft’s readiness.
