16th ACCS 27-year history comes to a close at Robins
The 16th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron Night Photo was activated on Oct. 10, 1950 at Langley AFB, Virginia equipped with RB-26 Invader recon aircraft on the redesignation of 160 TRS. This RB-26C Invader painted in black for night recon flights and was stationed at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.The unit flew the Douglas A-26 Invader from 1950 - 1955.
