ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. – U.S. Army Sgt. David Lee Wolfington Jr., U.S. Army Veterinary Treatment Facility noncommissioned officer in charge, gives Akim, 78th Security Forces Squadron Military Working Dog, a check-up as Staff Sgt. Troy Smith, 78th SFS MWD trainer, keeps his canine partner calm inside the newly renovated U.S. Army Veterinary Treatment Facility at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, Aug. 9, 2021. The Army is the only branch of military service with a veterinary component and thus provides support to the Air Force, Navy, Marines and other federal government agencies, like the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
