ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. – Lt. Col. Dale Harrell, center, 78th Medical Group commander, and Maj. Leighcraft Shakes, 78th MDG Diagnostic and Therapeutic Flight commander, prepare the 78th Medical Support Squadron guidon to be sheathed during the squadron’s deactivation ceremony June 24, 2021, at Robin Air Force Base, Georgia. Flights with the 78th MDSS, active for nearly 30 years, were restructured into the 78th Healthcare Operations Squadron and the 78th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron in the 78th MDG.
