402nd CMXG large 5-axis milling system arrives
ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. – Contractors use a forklift to position the second piece of a 5-axis computerized numerical control machine inside building 140 at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, Feb. 10, 2021. The combined weight of the two pieces is 158,757 pounds and has to be meticulously placed into positon to avoid damaging the first portion of the machine that costs more than $2.8 million.
