Safe Haven: Refuge offers Airmen encouragement, socially-distanced services
ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. – Care packages with special handwritten notes were arranged and delivered by members of the Refuge Airmen Leadership Team at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, to lighten the spirits of dorm residents during a time of social distancing as part of Operation Refuge Smile in April 2020. The Refuge started the operation to help combat the loneliness and isolation associated with social distancing for all 476 dorm residents on the installation. (courtesy photo)
