The Airman and Family Readiness Center sponsored a deployed spouses train trip Saturday to Plains. The families were surprised by a visit with President Jimmy Carter.
A group of about 20 students from Warner Robins High and teacher Polly Sheehan spent two days last month painting a mural celebrating the armed forces. The mural, which depicts military servicemembers and their families, reads “Every Day In The U.S.A. Is Armed Forces Appreciation Day.” The phrase is an updated version of Warner Robins resident Dr. Dan Callahan’s “Every Day In Middle Georgia Is Armed Forces Appreciation Day.” The artwork was created using images from Robins and is located at the corner of Davis Drive and Watson Boulevard. Twin brothers Shaune (left) and Aaron Hankins both received the Eagle Scout award Saturday in a ceremony at the Base Chapel. Their father, Capt. Jack Hankins, works in the 330th Combat Training Squadron and is a member of the Georgia Air National Guard.
