Museum F-105
Member of 78th Logistics Readiness Squadron Air Freight assist in the down load of an F-105D Thunderchief from a C-5 April 19 on Robins' flightline. The fighter-bomber that will be added to the Museum of Aviation's collection of aircraft. This F-105D is a Vietnam War combat veteran from 1967-1972 and will be displayed in Hangar One which will become the SE Asia Display Hangar. It flew hundreds of missions over North Vietnam, went to Tinker AFB, OK in 1972, deployed to Italy in 1979 and ended up at Hill AFB. By 1983 it had flown over 5,200 hours.
