STARBASE

Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner, Jr., Air Force Reserve Command commander, talks to 5th grade students from Centerville Elementary about his experience of flying an F-16 and the importance of studing science and math at the 15th year celebration of STARBASE Robins Sept.2. STARBASE is a Department of Defense program begun in 1989 to raise the interest and improve knowledge and skills of students in kindergarten through twelfth grade in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). More than 545,000 students nationwide have attended the program.The Robin STARBASE is one of 60 programs throughout the United States.
