Centerville Elementary 5th grade students get a piece of cake at the 15th year celebration of STARBASE Robins Sept.2. STARBASE is a Department of Defense program begun in 1989 to raise the interest and improve knowledge and skills of students in kindergarten through twelfth grade in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). More than 545,000 students nationwide have attended the program.The Robin STARBASE is one of 60 programs throughout the United States.
