Honorary Commanders
Col Dean Worley, right, 461st Air Control Wing commander, shows new honorary commander, Mike Dyer, Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce president, the 461st ACW guidon. A ceremony was held at the Museum of Aviation Friday to induct new commanders into the Honorary Commanders Program program for the 2012-2013 term . The program began in 2005 and was exclusive to the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center. However, with the current restructure, the program is now targeted to Team Robins to include mission partners. It is designed to encourage an exchange of ideas, experiences, and friendship between key members of the local civilian community and members of Team Robins. The program is a method to foster a supportive relationship between the base and the community, increase military involvement in civic endeavors and organizations and make the members of the local community part of the Robins AFB family (U.
