Wingman Day Weekend: Team Robins slated to kick off Robins Connect program with October Fall Bash Published Aug. 29, 2016 By Angela Woolen Robins Public Affairs ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- For the thousands who work at Robins, there are countless interests, hobbies and activities a person may take part in. Finding other people or organizations who are involved with those activities can sometimes be difficult. That’s why the 78th Air Base Wing is kicking off a program called Robins Connect. The purpose is to connect Team Robins members with others who share similar interests. A Wingman Day Oct. 21 in conjunction with the 78th Force Support Squadron Fall Bash planned for Oct. 22 will provide an opportunity for various groups to come together and have some fun. “We want to make life easier for people,” said Tech. Sgt. Maurice Collins, Installation Resilience Program manager. “Our goal is to create more contacts on- and off-base. We’re a diverse community, and we want as much participation as we can get.” Some examples of things the event would like to showcase are car clubs, sports groups, woodworking or those who like to play Pokemon Go. “We don’t just live on base. We live here in the community and can create connectivity by building community,” Collins said. Editor’s note: Organizations and clubs wishing to participate can contact Collins at 478-327-5439 or maurice.collins.1 @us.af.mil. More details such as time and place will be announced later.
