August Book Club selection

Col. Drew's August book club selection is James C. Hunter’s book, The Servant: A Simple Story About the True Essence of Leadership. The book discusses the principles of leadership through the story of a businessman named John Daily. This month’s meeting will be in the Heritage Club, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 pm. and 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27th.

Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program

The TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP) ends on Dec. 31, 2018. Beginning in 2019, dental and vision plans will be available through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). Now is a good time to become familiar with FEDVIP options. Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) is recognized in April by both civilian and military communities. The Department of Defense observes SAAPM by focusing on creating the appropriate culture to eliminate sexual assault and requiring a personal commitment from all Service members at every level. We all have a part in combating sexual assault and SAAPM offers an excellent opportunity to focus attention on our individual roles. We all have a role in preventing sexual assault and localizing SAAPM activities is a great way to extend this message.
