HISTORY OFFICE
The staff is occupied with numerous duties connected with the preservation and writing of the history of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex and Robins AFB, Georgia. Its primary responsibility is to prepare an annual history of the WR-ALC, which is a detailed historical document that serves as a vital management tool for Air Force, military, and civilian leaders and personnel. Other duties include the preparation of books and written studies on topics related to the Complex, Base, Air Force, and the region. Historians prepare oral histories of key Complex, Base, and locally retired Air Force/Military personnel as well as answer numerous requests for information on the history of the Air Force, Command, Complex, State, and Base for Complex managers, other government agencies, other services and commands, as well as national and local scholars and college and high school students. The Office of History also serves as the official archives of the Complex and Base. Among its many holdings are the Augustine Warner Robins Papers which are the documents from and about the namesake of the WR-ALC and Robins AFB-Brig. Gen. Augustine Warner Robins.
