The Environmental Management Branch, 78 CEG/CEIE, is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and stewardship of natural and cultural resources. Through effective pollution prevention strategies and a robust Qualified Recycling Program, the Environmental Branch manages depot level hazardous materials and hazardous waste, a Title V air quality program, water quality including 3 NPEDES permits, tanks and several state listed rare plant species, NR-eligible archaeology sites and coordinates with 13 affiliated tribes.
