85th EIS realigns under new group

Guidons are furled and unfurled during the 85th Engineering Installation Squadron Realignment Ceremony at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, June 23, 2026. During the event, the 85th EIS transitioned from the 38th Cyberspace Engineering and Installation Group to the 5th Combat Communications Group. The 85th EIS's mission is to rapidly engineer, plan, install, and restore cyberspace and expeditionary communications capabilities enabling airpower anytime, anywhere.
