16th ACCS 27-year history comes to a close at Robins
June 25, 1947, the 160th Tactical Recon Squadron redeployed to Langley Field, Virginia and was equipped with the FP-80 Shooting Star. This RF-80A aircraft with the serial number 45-8391 was with the 160th Tactical Recon Squadron at Toul Air Base France. The 160 TRS was inactivated on April 26, 1949. The unit flew the Lockheed RF-80A/C Shooting Star photo recon aircraft from 1947 – 1949.
