sinkhole

In July, a large sinkhole was discovered under the roadway of Richard Ray Boulevard. The problem stemmed from failing culverts underneath the road. The 78th Civil Engineering Squadron closed the road and is making repairs, including diverting drainage from the failed corrugated metal culverts into new plastic ones. Once the new headwalls and culverts are in place, the old ones will be filled in. Completion time is expected to be the end of November.
