Demolition
When a building is demolished at Robins, very little waste is allowed to be taken to landfills. This pile of rubble – what was formerly Bldg. 792 – began demolition March 1. The area will be graded and grassed, said James Bearden, 78th Civil Engineer Group. All projects are required to comply with Green Procurement and Pollution Prevention Programs – a mandatory component of the Air Force Pollution Prevention Program. Robins participates in a recycling program for the metal products, and all masonry and concrete materials are also taken to an approved off-base recycling yard.(U.S. Air Force photo by Ray Crayton)
