Throwback Thursday - Jan. 20, 2022

On Jan. 25, 1949, base military personnel began adaptation of their uniforms to blues. These blue uniforms were first produced by Bachman-Uxbridge Worsted Inc. and were Shade 1683 or “Uxbridge” Blue. There have been numerous tweaks since. Today, the official shade is #1620 or “Air Force Blue.”
