Chief Master Sergeant Matthew Mancill is the Command Chief of the 461st Air Control Wing, Robins AFB, Georgia. He serves as the senior enlisted advisor to the Commander on matters influencing the readiness, morale, welfare, training, discipline, effective utilization, professional development, and force structure for the 1,500 assigned personnel across two groups and seven squadrons.
Chief Mancill entered the Air Force in 1996. His background includes multiple positions in both the Contracting and Vehicle Maintenance career fields. Chief Mancill has served in various capacities at the squadron, group, and major-command levels. Throughout his career, he has filled a myriad of roles including additional-duty First Sergeant, MAJCOM Functional Manager, Squadron Superintendent, Unit Deployment Manager, and Unit Training Manager. His assignments include bases in Nevada, South Carolina, Idaho, Florida, Ohio, and Virginia. Chief Mancill also served overseas in South Korea and Japan, and deployed in support of multiple Campaigns to Africa, Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Superintendent at the 633d Mission Support Group, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
