Responsibilities

The Environmental Management Branch, 78 CEG/CEIE, is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and stewardship of natural and cultural resources.  Through effective pollution prevention strategies and a robust Qualified Recycling Program, the Environmental Branch manages depot level Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste, a Title V Air Quality program, Water Quality including 3 NPEDES permits, Tanks and several State listed rare plant species, NR-eligible archaeology sites and coordinates with 13 affiliated Tribes.
