The 78th Air Base Wing will be participating in an exercise scheduled March 25 through 28.

They will provide Joint Reception Staging Onward Movement and Integration support to members of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

"The objective of the exercise will be to test Inter-national urban search and rescue under the U.S. Agency for International Development to mitigate loss of human life and suffering," according to Maj. Jeremy Pankoski, 78th Logistics Readiness Squadron commander.

The exercise itself will take place at the Guardian Centers in Perry, Ga.

The 830-acre disaster preparedness and validation center's complex can simulate almost any disaster, on almost any scale, enabling up to 7,000 participants at a time to train in a realistic cityscape.
