138th Military Intelligence Company welcomes new commander Published May 22, 2014 By Jenny Gordon Robins Public Affairs ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- A 138th Military Intelligence Company change of command ceremony was conducted May 15 at the Heritage Club. The new commander is Lt. Col. Brian Schmanski, who has served as the Army Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System deputy commander and senior Army Standards and Evaluations Flight Examiner instructor. "It's an honor and a privilege to lead the Army JSTARS detachment and to be a member of Team JSTARS. I look forward to working closely with our Air Force partners in support to Department of Defense forces," said Schmanski. "We have a great mission and team partnership which I know will grow exponentially. My family and I are elated to be in the Warner Robins community and the Robins Air Force Base family." The 138th detachment at Robins trains and deploys soldiers as integrated E-8C air crew members who conduct global command, control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. After relinquishing command, Lt. Col. Todd Morgan will assume command of the Geospatial Intelligence Integrations, Support, Test and Training Detachment in Melbourne, Fla.
