"During this holiday season, we know there's a lot going on in the world, and our Air Force is busy playing a vital role. Please know that your service and sacrifices are appreciated by so many. You are a gift to our nation. Your hard work and dedication makes our country safer and stronger. To our Air Force families, we thank you as well. Each day you contribute so much. Frank and I are grateful to be a part of this Air Force family. Wherever you are, please know we are thinking of you. We hope you will take time to enjoy this time of year. Have a wonderful holiday!"
-- Hon. Deborah Lee James, Secretary of the Air Force

"To our 660,000 incredible Airmen serving around the world, Betty and I wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season! As always, you were extraordinary in 2015! Together you flew, fought, and protected the most precious gift of all ... our freedom. For those stationed or deployed in far-off places this year, please know we hold you and your loved ones in our thoughts and prayers ... and are unspeakably grateful for your service before self. No matter how you celebrate this season, please take care of yourselves, your families and your wingmen. Each one of you plays a critical role in projecting American Airpower, and I'm prouder than ever to stand beside you."

--Gen. Mark Welsh III, Air Force Chief of Staff

"This holiday season, where possible, Athena and I encourage you to step back and enjoy much deserved time with your family and friends. It's a season of reflection, and of gratitude, and we encourage you to spend it with those who matter most.  "We must also never forget those who cannot step back this season, and those who are far from family and friends.

"To you we send our thoughts, our prayers and our continued gratitude. We wish you all the warmest holiday season. Thank you for your continued commitment to our Air Force and our nation."

--Chief Master Sgt. James Cody, Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force
