The potential for unscheduled demonstrations is likely to increase over the weekend to include the greater Atlanta area. Team Robins and local media have noted a planned protest in downtown Atlanta around 6 p.m. this evening, July 8. It is recommended that if you are traveling this weekend that you check the news prior to departure to avoid these areas. If you inadvertently find yourself in an area where people are demonstrating, you should leave the area. There is no current information to suggest these demonstrations will become violent, but recent events have included freeway access disruptions, property damage and counter protest activities which have resulted in violent confrontations. Here are Some Quick Tips for Personal Safety and Security: · Keep a low profile. Your dress, conduct, and mannerisms should not attract attention. Make an effort to blend into the local environment.
