The energy conservation campaign at Robins has two new slogans, thanks to help from many Team Robins members.

The Energy Office recently sponsored a slogan contest and received 120 entries. Jeane Paris, energy awareness manager, said she was surprised to get so many entries.

"It shows people are interested in this," she said. "We got a lot of good ones."

The winning slogan was "Think twice, energy has a price," by Dan Swafford of the 402nd Electronics Maintenance Squadron. He won a $25 gift card.

The second place winner was Lavonda Shadix of the 78th Air Base Wing Communications Directorate. Her slogan was "Watt-ching our energy bucks!" She won a $15 gift card.

They also each won a kilowatt meter, a device which can be plugged into anything using electricity, such as a computer or appliance, and measures how much electricity the device is using.

Paris said the slogans will be used on marquees and signs as the Energy Office promotes future conservation efforts. Some of the non-winning slogans will also be used, she said.
