The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center is continuing to work with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on the Center's plan to correct 13 citations the Center received in May.

In early December, the Center asked for additional time because of the magnitude and complexity of the abatement plan for Bldgs. 169 and 670 to complete remedial actions OSHA requires.

However, the Center received notification this week that OSHA requested additional information about the Center's plan and could not approve the request for the full amount of time the Center requested. However, OSHA did agree to re-evaluate the Center's request.

"The health and welfare of our workforce is vitally important," said Maj. Gen. Robert H. McMahon, Center commander. "Therefore, we are working with OSHA to ensure its concerns are addressed." "We have made some significant strides in our efforts to correct the issues, but we still have additional work to do."

The Center will address OSHA's latest concerns in correspondence early next week. In the meantime, the Center will continue on its path to improvement.

"It is paramount we provide our employees the safest work environment possible," McMahon said.
