The College Board will discontinue its College-Level Examination Program paper-and-pencil testing program effective Dec. 31.

The College Board decided to terminate the service due to the decreasing number of paper-based test takers. More than 95 percent of military students now take computer-based CLEP tests. Service members using the computer-based exams benefit from instant scores and access to all 33 CLEP eCBT test titles.

All paper-based CLEP tests will be returned after Jan. 1.

The Robins Education Office isn't equipped to administer electronic tests, but the Macon State College Warner Robins Test Center is. Electronic CLEP and DSST tests are still free for active-duty personnel, reserve members, and National Guardsmen. Also, the Macon State College $25 test administration fee will be covered by DANTES, and military personnel will not have to pay the fee as long as they show their ID upon request.

The MSC Warner Robins Testing Center is located in room 223 of the Academic Services Building on Watson Boulevard. For more information, call the MSC Warner Robins Testing Center at (478) 471-2050.
