F-22 Raptor joins Robins Air Show Published March 7, 2012 By 78th Air Base Wing Public Affairs ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- An F-22 Raptor has been confirmed to participate in the 2012 Robins Air Show, scheduled April 28 and 29. The F-22 joins a growing list of static displays, performers and exhibitors who will entertain attendees throughout the busy weekend. The F-22 Raptor is the Air Force's newest fighter aircraft, complete with stealth, supercruise, maneuverability and integrated avionics. Capable of performing air-to-air and air-to-ground missions, it includes a sleek aerodynamic design, increased thrust and advanced flight controls, and a combination of sensor capability, situational awareness and weapons. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, headquartered at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla. are the headlining-act.
