Regina Young 116th Air Control Wing Public Affairs ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The 116th Air Control Wing's communication squadron continued its record of success capturing five of 10 national-level 2012 Air National Guard Information Dominance and Functional Awards. The ANG Information Dominance Awards recognize military and civilian members for sustained superior performance while providing information dominance and cyberspace operations to Air Force and Department of Defense missions and operations. Led by Lt. Col. Hugh Goss, 116th Communications Squadron commander, the Base Communication Cyberspace Operations award recipients included: Goss, Master Sgt. Lawrence Laurine, Tech. Sgt. Derek Woodard, Staff Sgt. Ivey Huff and Senior Airman Kenneth Gellins. "These awards are reflective of the outstanding and sustained performance of all personnel in the 116th Communications Squadron who have been responsible for maintaining unparalleled communications support for more than 3,000 people in two wings and five geographically separated units," said Goss. Winning the awards capped off a banner year for the squadron. They also contributed to an overall rating of excellent during the Team JSTARS operational readiness inspection with multiple superior performers.
