AFSC/CC Independence Day Message Published July 3, 2013 By Lt. Gen. Bruce A. Litchfield AIR FORCE SUSTAINMENT CENTER -- On "America's Holiday" I can honestly say that there is no other country in which I'd rather live. Watching the news around the world, makes it very apparent how thankful we should be as Americans to enjoy the freedoms of our everyday lives. As we celebrate our hard fought independence this upcoming week, this is a great chance to thank you for all who contribute to keeping our Nation free and allowing our citizens to enjoy the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Our Air Force contribution comes from its service members and those who support them. The warfighter couldn't do what they do, if it weren't for the AFSC enterprise supporting them back at home. What we do to help defend this country is amazing and I'm so proud to be a member of this outstanding team. Hopefully this weekend, you can enjoy time with your family and remember that you're an important part of why we're able to celebrate our independence each year. Bruce BRUCE A.
