ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- On April 29, 2008, the Air Force Global Logistics Support Center stood up the 638th Supply Chain Management Group at Robins Air Force Base. The stand up of the supply group allowed local management of inventory from an enterprise perspective so that when a part was needed, it could ensure that it got there much quicker since it was closer to the area of need, like to organizations such as the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex.
