ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. --
Ensuring the safety, health, and welfare of our personnel is a top priority for this installation. The ways in which we mitigate risk of spread include, but are not limited to, the use of face coverings. We must continue to enable our missions through disciplined risk mitigations necessary to protect our workforce and the most vulnerable population.
With increasing risk to our force as cases of COVID-19 continue to climb, this is an all-hands effort, requiring an all-hands response. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), COVID-19 spreads mainly from person to person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Wearing a face covering may prevent you from spreading the virus to others, just as others wearing a face covering may prevent them from spreading the virus to you.
For this purpose, all Robins Air Force Base personnel on the installation are required to wear a face coverings in ALL government buildings, during the following conditions:
•Entering/Exiting the building
•Traversing between offices
•Walking to/from the restrooms and breakrooms
•While in cubicle work centers that are not divided and social distancing is unattainable
•While working within 6 feet of a co-worker and social distancing is unattainable
•While in elevators
•NOTE: Employees entering facilities that have additional requirements must comply with these restrictions
This policy, is effective immediately and will remain in effect until rescinded. Refusal to comply with this policy may result in temporary restrictions from the installation. This order does not limit individuals who are in execution of their official duties or in performance of mission essential tasks and requirements, as determined by Commanders/Directors.
Please address any questions through your unit chain of command, Contact Tracing Cells or 78th MDG Public Health.
