Ernesto Verger, 78th Air Base Wing, OPSEC program manager, although not assigned to the Crisis Action Team and having no prior tactical experience has taken a lead role there in a matter of only two months. Verger volunteered his services due to the high volume, mounting tasks and insurmountable expectations facing the CAT.

Verger has expedited the learning curve and can be relied upon for any and all things CAT now. He is also working 12-hour shifts and weekends to make sure everything is in sync on COVID-19 operations and communications.

“Mr. Verger has stepped up in so many ways to support our team and the wing it just doesn’t make sense,” said Clay Dykes 78th ABW, Plans and Programs director. “I believe ‘VR’ has unpresented talent to make things happen for the better.”
