ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Folks who have met him will tell you that when Mark Kirsch is around, you won’t need a tow truck.
Kirsh is known for his ability to move and pull large objects. You know, like the C-130 aircraft he pulled at Robins’ last air show in 2016.
At other air shows, he’s pulled other military aircraft – including a C-17 Globemaster at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, in 2018 – down taxiways or in static display areas of Air Force air shows and open houses.
The strongman’s “Man vs. Impossible” demonstration is set to make an appearance at the Thunder Over Georgia Air Show at Robins Air Force Base, Sept. 28 and 29, where he will once again put his strength and determination on display.
So, you might be thinking, “Well, what’s the trick? How does he do it?”
All right, we’ll let you in on the secret. He does it with a harness … a rope … and his bare hands.
Kirsch has been performing for audiences for over 11 years, pulling jumbo jets at airshows across the country.
If you want to catch Kirsch in person, mark your calendars for Sept. 28 and 29, and head on over to Robins Air Force Base in Middle Georgia. The show will also feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and F-22 demonstration teams as well as other military and civilian demonstrations.
