Robins Air Force Base has a new way for its members to stay connected via smart phones.

Robins Connect is a sub-app of the new AF Connect that lets users know the latest happenings and information from around Robins. All personnel and their families are invited to download the free app to have Robins information at their fingertips whenever they need it.

With features such as groups, events, news, notifications and more, the application is designed to enable, engage, and empower Airmen across the globe. It serves as a one-stop shop for Airmen and their families to get up-to-date information about Robins. It also has, on hand, information to help Airmen and their families with their careers and daily lives: physical fitness training calculator, helping agency information and a phone directory, to name a few.

The app also features information for the upcoming Thunder Over Georgia Air Show, Sept. 28-29. It will have all pertinent information for the days of the event such as performing acts, what’s allowed in the show, and parking and shuttle information. The app is a must-have for those wanting up to the minute information on acts and weather throughout the show.

And if having information at your fingertips 24/7 wasn’t enough incentive to download the new Robins Connect app, the Robins AFB Chapel is offering a free breakfast burrito and coffee to ALL Team Robins members who come into the Refuge either Tuesday, May 7, or Thursday, May 9, and show they have downloaded the app and connected to Robins. The burrito and coffee may be picked up between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. while supplies last.

To download the app, go to your phone’s app store and search for “USAF Connect.” Once found, download the app and choose your favorites. Robins Connect can be found when “Robins Air Force Base” is searched. You can also add other organizations as well who have created sub-apps, such as the 461st Air Control Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, and Air Force Materiel Command.

If you already have the app downloaded, simply click “favorites” on the bottom right of the screen and search for Robins. Once found, click the “+” sign next to the base name.

When prompted, users should allow the app access to the requested permissions. The app does not track your location and collects no personal data. The installation command team will use the app’s “push notifications” feature to send timely announcements, such as weather closures and delays, to app users around Robins.

Additional features are planned for future release as the app grows to meet the needs of the Team Robins community.
