Camellia Gardens Memorial Service May 22

The annual Camellia Gardens Memorial Service - which pays tribute to deceased members of Team Robins - will be May 22 at 10 a.m. in the tranquil garden across from Horizons Event Center.


The service, a moving, patriotic tribute to the departed, is a 38-year tradition. At the garden's entrance, a brick and mortar wall displays plaques with the names of more than 1,600 deceased military and civilian members from Robins honored in past ceremonies.


This year's ceremony is a project of the Team Robins Company Grade Officer Council and the base chapel. Tony Baumann, director of contracting at Robins, will provide the memorial address. A reception will follow at Horizons.


All military should wear the uniform of the day; civilians should wear business attire.
