ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. --
With the redesignation of Horizons from a club to an event center, club members may be wondering about their membership cards.
Club members will continue to be billed monthly dues for membership unless they decide to initiate a cancellation.
There are benefits to keeping the card active. They include:
- Earn up to 2 percent cash back when using a club card at 78th Force Support Squadron activities, the commissary and Exchange, and 1 percent elsewhere. A 10 percent discount on all Morale, Welfare and Recreation purchases.
- Access to borrow (for personal use) small quantities of daily-use china, glassware, flatware, or tables and chairs, when items aren't needed for club functions. A nominal fee will be charged for the use of club linens due to laundering costs.
- Complimentary hors d'oeuvres at First Friday and Boss & Buddy events; typical fee is $5 for non-members.
- Club dues are waived during deployments.
For those wishing to cancel the card: Members with the club MasterCard should call the 1-800-number on the card and request cancellation. Members with a proprietary card can do so at the cashier's cage in the Heritage Club.
