Daniel Mathis, 560th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aircraft mechanic, is assigned to the Induction Gate. He performs incoming operational checks and disassembles all C-130 aircraft to prep for Programmed Depot Maintenance.

Daniel’s skills and abilities were used to overcome the work force shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was willing and able to assist other shops to continue aircraft production all while conforming to the new COVID-19 guidelines. His exceptional dedication contributed to the mission success during a time of uncertainty.

“Mr. Mathis is an extraordinary employee. He can adapt and overcome any situation that arises” said Jeff Kolmetz, 560th AMXS, Supervisor. “Throughout the pandemic, Daniel has been a key asset by supporting pre dock and building 91 with repair and build-up,”
