ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Tom Paul, 78th Force Support Squadron, Information Technology/Network administrator, provides IT support for all Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) services.
He went above and beyond his primary duties to expedite FSS Concept of Operations during Health Protection Condition level changes to accommodate high risk employees, enabling non-stop mission support. His actions allowed employees to start teleworking immediately, averting the need to take weather and safety leave. Additionally, Paul fast-tracked the squadron’s transition plan from normal operations to restricted operations. He coordinated with the 78th Communications Directorate to grant FSS employees without laptops permission to take their desktops home so they can telework.
He was praised by the 78th FSS Command Team for, “doing an exceptional job ensuring FSS operations continued during COVID-19 restrictions.”
