Charles “Mississippi” Davis, 560th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Voluntary Protection Program representative, utilizes OSHA standards to ensure the health and safety of the 560th AMXS personnel and assist with the squadron’s Automated External Defibrillators. He helps to establish a framework of safety and empowers a culture of safety for everyone on Robins Air Force Base.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Davis helped set up entry control points in all 560th AMXS buildings that included posted guidance and sanitation stations. He was able to help obtain facemasks for personnel and personally distributed them. He personally cleaned break rooms and social areas to allow mechanics to continue focusing on their jobs. Davis also would correct any safety issues on-the-spot to ensure that the squadron stays in compliance.

“Mississippi is a great asset to the C-130 organization and was instrumental to getting the cleaning stations set up across the 560th,” said Pat Pepper 560th AMXS compliance officer. “He is committed to the people of the 402nd Maintenance Wing by ensuring that the employees’ needs for safety and protection are met.”
