Art of the Possible has been improving processes at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex since 2012, and now, other Robins Air Force Base units are successfully using the constraints-based management system to increase efficiency.

The 78th Air Base Wing has been working on implementing AoP since 2013.

Mary Moore, Continuous Process Improvement lead in the 78th Air Base Wing’s Manpower and Organization Office, said she has been actively working with 78th Mission Support Group leadership and the organization’s workforce to apply AoP principles.

“It may seem like a slow-to-implement process, but we have made solid footprints in the ground, and we are moving together for a common goal,” she said.

Moore, who started working on 78th MSG’s AoP implementation in January 2018, said AoP has been implemented in three squadrons: 78th Security Forces Squadron, 78th Force Support Squadron, and 78th Logistics Ready Squadron.

By applying AoP, the 78th SFS has improved its ticket citation process by reducing constraints in the process to expedite ticketing to the right person, Moore said.

The 78th Force Support Squadron’s officer performance report and enlisted performance report routing processes are expected to be expedited, by applying AoP, which will ensure Robins meets Air Force suspenses.

78th FSS’ Force Development Civilian Education and Training division is currently working on two machines to help increase customer turn-around time to ensure customers attend needed training on the required dates.

Finally, the 78th Logistics Readiness Squadron, through the application of AoP to its quarterly shipment of unserviceable assets process, is anticipating timely disposition of unserviceable assets.

“We have other machines in queue to be built,” Moore said. “We are slowly, but surely, getting our people to understand the way ahead though AoP.”
