Robins Tax Center is gearing up for its 2017 filing season.

The center, located in Bldg. 911, also known as the former Sun Trust Bank location, will be open Tuesdays through Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to provide free tax filing for active-duty and retired military members and their eligible family members.

People should bring all their tax paperwork to the tax briefing and receive an appointment at that time.

The center will remain open through April 17.

Capt Stacey Snyder, assistant staff judge advocate and deputy chief of Civil Law Division of Robins Legal Office, which oversees the tax center, said the tax preparation service is a great benefit.

“It’s a great money savings program,” she said. “You can have your taxes done for free by a certified preparer.”

People should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their appointment time in order to complete a client questionnaire.
